Jeddah Airport to Madinah Taxi Fare

Madinah is about 420 km from Jeddah Airport, and the drive takes 4 to 4.5 hours on the highway. It is a long run after a long flight, which is why most pilgrims book it in advance rather than arranging it at the kerb: one vehicle, one driver, your own group, and a fare settled before you travel.

Meeting Your Driver at Jeddah Airport

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of the terminal your flight lands at, after passport control and baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name.

  1. Send your flight number when you book, so we track the flight rather than the clock.
  2. We message you the driver’s name and number before you fly.
  3. Clear immigration and collect your bags — waiting time on a delayed flight is not charged.
  4. Message the driver when you reach the hall; he comes to you and takes the bags.
  5. Leave straight for Madinah, with the fare already settled.

About This Journey

The road north from Jeddah to Madinah is a modern highway of about 420 km, and the drive takes 4 to 4.5 hours without stops. With a break for prayer or food, plan on about five hours from the arrivals hall to your hotel door.

There are rest areas along the route with mosques, fuel and places to eat, and your driver knows which are the better ones at the hour you are travelling. The car is yours for the journey, so stopping does not change the fare.

Pilgrims flying into Jeddah and travelling straight to Madinah are not crossing a Miqat on this road — Ihram for Umrah is normally entered later, when travelling from Madinah towards Makkah. Your group’s scholar is the authority on that; we handle the driving.

Frequently Asked Questions

About 4 to 4.5 hours for roughly 420 km. With a rest stop, most groups are door to door in around five hours.

The driver waits and the fare does not change. We track the flight number you give us, so we know when you have actually landed.

Yes, as often as you need. The car is yours for the journey, so stops for prayer, food or rest do not change the price.

For a couple travelling light, a domestic flight can be quicker once you count check-in and the transfers at both ends. For a family with cases it rarely is, and a single car from the arrivals hall to the hotel door avoids a second airport altogether. We do not sell flights, so we have nothing to gain either way.

Not for this direction. Pilgrims normally enter Ihram when travelling from Madinah towards Makkah, at Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali). Please follow the guidance of your group’s scholar.

Per vehicle. The price covers the whole car, so a family of four travelling by sedan pays the sedan price once. Adding passengers up to the vehicle’s seat count does not change the fare.

Completely private. It is your group and the driver only — no shared seats, no other bookings collected on the way and no detours.

Yes. Every fare is all-inclusive — fuel, tolls and parking are already covered. There is no meter and nothing extra is collected at the end of the journey.

Each vehicle’s seat and bag capacity is listed above. Tell us the number of cases when you book: a group that fits the seats but not the luggage space is the most common booking mistake, and we would rather say so beforehand.

The fare is the same at every hour of the day. Rates during peak periods are published in advance on the rate list rather than applied at the roadside, so the price you are given when you book is the price you pay.

No deposit. Message us on WhatsApp with your date, the number of passengers and bags, and your pickup and drop-off. We reply with the fixed fare and the vehicle, and you pay at the end of the journey.
